Exhibition “Seine(s)”
From July 4 to September 29, 2024The photographers from Collectif Neuf chose the Seine as a place to explore. Over the months and seasons, they wandered as close as possible to the river, a unique space in the heart of the city yet preserved from urban pressure.
In this regular attendance, letting the sensations offered by the river take shape, a serene complicity was created with the Seine. Through individual research and discussions within the collective, a set of points of view and testimonies was constructed.
Together, these singular views reveal the fertility of the river’s paradoxes: movement and stability, rest and work, transparency and reflections, nature and urbanity.
Created in 2015, the collective is now made up of six photographers: Eric Chatelin, Isabelle Millet, Philippe Rioux, Reine W. Roman, Marie-Françoise Serra, Sachiko Sunabe.
The collective’s projects have been exhibited in Paris: at the Emmaüs Louvel-Tessier accommodation center in 2015, at the Médiathèque Marguerite Yourcenar in 2017 and 2018, at the Rencontres Photographiques du 10ème and at the Médiathèque Edmond Rostand in 2019, at the Théâtre de l ‘Etoile du Nord and at the Canopée media library in 2021 and 2022, at the Paris anim’ Brancion center from April 22 to May 25, 2024.
